Sedum Plant is able to grow in open sunlight and prefers not less than six hours of direct sunlight per day. It prefers soil with a high rate of drainage like sandy or gritty soils, similar to the environment it inhabits in nature. These plants are very tolerant to heat, drought, and any kind of poor soil, and cannot do well in too moist or heavy clays. Sedums are also rugged in most climates and are able to endure cold winters. Growing in the garden beds, pots or rock gardens, the secret of success is to have adequate drainage.
